HELLOOOOO WASHINGTON!
My name is Lionel Donovan and I am so excited to be a part of the KING 5 team! I joined KING 5 in December 2020.
I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, the opposite corner of the country, and I took the scenic route getting here. Back in my college days, I was able to study abroad in Wuhan, China. Little did I know that quick nine month experience would end up becoming a nine year journey across Asia and Africa as an international journalist. My time abroad was invaluable and has allowed me to gain experience understanding people from a variety of backgrounds, cultures, and viewpoints.
Now, I get to bring all those experiences to Tacoma and Pierce County, where I hope that my stories will truly resonate with the communities here and make a difference. It’s an honor to be here, and I look forward to working with Tacoma to tell her stories together!
